Item in low quantities in stock.

Latest version of the Winsen infrared gas module sensor that uses the non-dispersive infrared principle (NDIR) to detect the concentration of CO2 in the air (IAR: Indoor air quality). The sensor is characterized by good selectivity. It has built-in temperature compensation and outputs the data via a UART (3.3V and 5V compatible) or as a PWM signal. This makes it easy to integrate into any microcontroller application (Arduino, Raspberry Pi, ESP8266/ESP32 etc.).
Ideal for HVAC applications: heating, ventilation, and air conditioning.

Compared to the previous models (MH-Z19/MH-Z19A and MH-Z19B), the preheating time and power consumption have been reduced.
The sensor calibrates itself every 24 hours (can be switched on and off by command), but a zero point calibration can also be activated manually.

Warning: There are many offers where similar modules are offered under the designation MH-Z19C, but which probably do not come from the manufacturer Winsen: On the underside there are components and no nameplate and the housing looks something different.

  • Detection: Carbon dioxide
  • Undocumented measured value: temperature (byte 4 of the response to 0x86)
  • Operating voltage: 5.0 V DC ±0.1 V
  • Average current consumption: < 40 mA (@ 5 V)
  • Peak current: 120 mA (@ 5 V)
  • Interface Level: 3.3 V (compatible with 5 V)
  • Measuring range: 400 ... 5000 ppm
  • Response time T90 <120 s
  • Preheating time: 1 minute
  • Operating temperature: -10 ... 50 ° C
  • Operating humidity: 0 ... 90% RH (no condensation)
  • Weight: 5 g
  • Dimensions: approx. 33 × 20 × 9 mm
Example: CO2-Guard
